Cora Jade vs. Gigi Dolin

We then return back inside the CWC for our next scheduled match of the evening. The theme for Cora Jade hits and out comes “The Resident Mean Girl of NXT” to the ring for advertised one-on-one action against Gigi Dolin.

As she settles in the ring, we head to a quick pre-match commercial break. When we return, we see Gallus flipping out backstage after losing their NXT Dusty Classic Tournament bout earlier tonight. Up walks Ridge Holland, who has some words with the trio, who aren’t fond of him.

Back inside the CWC, the theme for Gigi Dolin hits and out she comes with her trademark rose in-hand. She heads to the ring to a decent pop from the Orlando crowd. She settles inside and her theme music dies down.

The bell sounds. Vic Joseph promotes Triple H’s give-away on behalf of the Connor’s Cure charity where he is auctioning off his personal Royal Rumble ringside seats. Dolin and Jade lock-up and start to get after it with some basic back-and-forth action early on.

In the end, Dolin goes for her finisher but Jade holds onto the ropes. Jade then hits her Jaded DDT for the pin fall victory. After the match, we head to another commercial break.

CORA JADE vs. KARMEN PETROVIC – Singles match

Karmen said she’s going to take back what’s rightfully hers – a locker. Jade had a bored look on her face with how long it took Petrovic to do her entrance. Jade pushed Petrovic, but she came back with a step-over kick. Jade forced Petrovic into a corner in response, but ate a sunset flip. Jade then hit a running knee in the corner like her hero CM Punk, then a sliding back elbow to Petrovic, resting along the second rope. Jade gave Petrovic a hard Irish whip. Petrovic tried fighting back, but Jade took it to her and then slammed her face-first into the mat. Jade did that one more time after a bit of taunting, but missed a leaping double stomp. Petrovic hit a spinning leg trip, then a flying forearm, another, and a running kick in the corner. She hit her hurricane kick to the back of Jade for a two-count. Jade used the moment to throw Petrovic into the ropes and hit the double arm DDT. After the match, Jade went for another one, but Gigi Dolin’s music hit and she actually sprinted to the ring to chase off Jade.

WINNER: Cora Jade

Cora Jade, Lyra Valkyria, Blair Davenport & Nikkita Lyons Kick Off The Show

From there, we shoot live inside the ring in the CWC where Cora Jade is standing with a microphone. She gloats about being back and says fans have been begging for her return, crying themselves to sleep at night and kissing her 8×10 photos before bed.

She says no one liked her before and they all of a sudden love her now? She continues to heel it up as she talks about how no one cares about Lyra Valkyria. As she continues talking, Valkyria’s theme hits to cut her off.

Out comes the NXT Women’s Champion who points out the one thing that Cora failed to mention, which was that she attacked her behind. She says she’s been gone for four months and nothing has changed, she’s always going to take short cuts the way she always has.

Valkyria says she might not have changed in the last four months, but things around here have. She says she is the NXT Women’s Champion and she’s not someone she can push around anymore. As she continues talking, she’s cut off by Blair Davenport’s theme.

The winner of the 2023 Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge emerges and says Valkyria might be at the top, but not for long. She also mentions that Cora Jade isn’t one of the top dogs either. She tells Lyra she needs to be focused on her right now, not Jade.

She says at New Year’s Evil she’ll become the champ she has always been destined to be. As they continue talking, tyhe theme for Nikkita Lyons hits and out she comes saying she hasn’t forgotten what Blair did to her in the parking lot.

All four ladies brawl until Nikkita and Lyra knock Jade and Blair out of the ring. They stand tall in the ring side-by-side and then we shoot over to Booker T and Vic Joseph on commentary who welcome us to the show.

Nikkita Lyons & Lyra Valkyria vs. Cora Jade & Blair Davenport

It’s main event time!

The theme for Cora Jade hits and out she comes to boos from the Orlando crowd. Also coming out is her partner Blair Davenport, who gets a ton of boos as well. The bell sounds and it’s time for our final match of the evening here on this week’s post-Deadline episode of NXT on USA.

We see Valkyria and Davenport kick things off as the commentators hype their scheduled title tilt at the NXT New Year’s Evil special event coming up following Blair’s win in the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline 2023 this past weekend.

Blair quickly tags out and in comes Cora Jade, who doesn’t fare much better against Valkyria, as the champ continues to dominate. Nikkita Lyons tags in and manhandles Jade, who quickly tags back out. Davenport comes in and the commentators talk about her being the one to take out Lyons in the parking lot nearly a year ago.

Jade tags back in and gets in some offense on Lyons, which shifts the offensive momentum in her team’s favor. Davenport tags back in and picks up where Jade left off, taking it to Lyons as we head into a mid-match commercial break as the action in our main event of the evening continues.

When we return, the action continues with back-and-forth offense shifts in momentum until the finish comes, which sees Cora Jade score a pin on the champ Lyra Valkyria after Blair Davenport did the work. The commentators point out that Cora once again stole Blair’s shine like she mentioned earlier tonight.

After the match, we see Tatum Paxley runs out and gets upset that someone is in the ring with Valkyria, so she throws Lyons out to the floor and then looks at Valkyria like a creepy stalker. That wraps up the post-match scene and then we head into another commercial break as we see Trick Williams walking to the ring.

Winners: Cora Jade & Blair Davenport

Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge
Fallon Henley vs. Blair Davenport

After the break, we return to the rules being broken down for the first of two Iron Survivor Challenge matches scheduled for tonight’s show. Once the rule breakdown wraps up, the theme for the person who drew first for the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match hits.

Fallon Henley makes her way out as one of the first two competitors who will be kicking off this five-person showdown to determine the challenger for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT New Year’s Evil 2024. She settles in the ring and her music dies down.

Now the theme for the person who drew number two to start the match off hits, and out comes Blair Davenport. The two are both in the ring and ready to rock and roll. The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one. The countdown clock appears and when it expires, out comes Tiffany Stratton as the third entrant.

Soon after Stratton enters the match, we see the first fall take place, as Blair Davenport gets on the board with a pin fall to pull ahead with a score of 1 to 0 for the rest. The countdown clock appears again and when it expires, out comes Kelani Jordan as the fourth entrant. Soon after that, Henley scores a fall on Stratton to tie things up in first place with Davenport.

The countdown clock appears again and when it expires, the fifth and final entrant in the match comes out, as Lash Legend of The Meta-Four makes her way down to the ring as all four of the other ladies are on the top-rope in the same corner. Legend hits a double power bomb to bring two of them down the hard way.

She then climbs up and hits a double super-plex to bring down the others. Legend hits a couple of additional power spots on the mat and then picks up a quick two points in what the commentators said was done in just 70 seconds. Legend is now up with 2, Davenport has 1, Henley has 1 and Jordan and Stratton have yet to score.

We see Henley and Stratton in the penalty box at the same time. Out comes The Meta Four’s Noam Dar, Oro Mensah and Jakara Jackson to block the box as the commentators desk is cleared off. Henley and Stratton fight in the penalty box until Henley climbs up over the top and is slammed onto the commentary desk.

Stratton climbs up and hits an absolutely insane moonsault on a pile of bodies at ringside for a thunderous “Holy sh*t!” chant from the crowd. A bunch of the competitors try for pin falls back-to-back-to-back, but Davenport clears the ring and ends up getting it. Davenport and Legend are tied at 2. Henley has 1, while Jordan and Stratton are still at 0.

Moments later we see Stratton finally get on the board with a pin fall after a Prettiest Moonsault Ever. Seconds after that, Jordan hits a 450 splash off the top-rope and goes for the cover, but it is broken up. Jordan remains the only competitor without any points in the match thus far. Davenport takes Jordan off the top-rope with an awkward landing.

She then scores another fall to go up to 3 on the board. The clock strikes moments later and Davenport wins with the highest score of three points. The crowd boos as Davenport celebrates her big victory in the second annual NXT Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match, earning herself a future NXT Women’s Championship opportunity.

Winner: Blair Davenport

Cora Jade Returns, Attacks Lyra Valkyria

After the match, Blair Davenport gets on the microphone in the ring and tells Lyra Valkyria that she is coming for her and the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT New Year’s Evil. Lyra Valkyria’s theme hits.

Out comes Valkyria but before she can make it to the ring, Cora Jade makes her surprise return and attacks her from behind. She leaves her laying and poses over her with her NXT Women’s Championship. After this wraps up, we head into another commercial break.

Cora Jade & Ivy Nile Backstage Confrontation

We shoot backstage to an “earlier today” segment in the NXT women’s locker room. Cora Jade, with a black eye, complains about always getting screwed over. “The Resident Mean Girl” says she should be NXT Women’s Champion right now.

Ivy Nile comes up and tells her everyone is sick of hearing her complain. Jade tells Nile she’s just mad that her boys The Creed Brothers lost. Nile punks her back and walks off as the girls “ooh” and “ahh” in the background. Jade claims she’s not scared of Nile. Vic Joseph informs us that they will square off later tonight.

Cora Jade vs. Ivy Nile

Now we settle back inside the CWC where the familiar sounds of Cora Jade’s theme hit the house speakers as “The Resident Mean Girl” heads to the ring. As she settles inside the squared circle, we head to a pre-match commercial break.

When we return, Ivy Nile’s theme hits and the Diamond Mine member makes her way down to the ring. The bell sounds and we’re officially off-and-running with this one. Jade tries sneak-attacking her way into an early offensive lead, and it works.

Not for long, however, as Nile quickly shifts the momentum back in her favor. Nile puts her power on display and as it appears she has this one wrapped up and in the bag, we see Ava Rain hit the ring and provide a distraction. This allows Jade to hit her Jaded DDT for the win.

Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell def. Gigi Dolin & Cora Jade

Though they appeared to be looking down their noses at Gigi Dolin and Cora Jade while the two young Superstars made their somewhat peculiar entrance, Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell were forced to start taking their opponents seriously when Hartwell was greeted with a couple stiff kicks from each of her foes and a forearm to the jaw from Dolin.

And though LeRae received a tag and briefly went on the attack, Jade nevertheless struck The Poison Pixie with a knee to the jaw while Dolin held her in place.

Despite the quick flurries from Dolin & Jade, The Way took control when Hartwell planted Jade with a sidewalk slam and later dropped Dolin with a suplex for the 1-2-3 before she and Candice joyously posed next to the Dusty Cup at ringside.

With the win, LeRae and Hartwell reached the semifinals of the eight-team Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, and they’ll battle the winner of Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon vs. Marina Shafir & Zoey Stark.
